COMING THIS SUMMER

The New FreeBird 103 was computer designed to assure our goal of making a legal 254lb ultralight using either a Rotax 447 or Hirth F23 engine, as well as our Black Max hydraulic brake system was possible.

We are using the same basic wing design that we used on our LS-Ultra, however, the fuselage was totally redesigned to shave weight without compromising integrity.

Well we are a little bit behind right now on this project but we do have about 60% of the pats made. All the tubes are bent. We should have the chromoly pieces done by the first of april. We are also working on a carbon fiber nose cone right now. So far we are coming in slightly under weight from what we projected. So far so good.

We won’t hit our April goal, some of the special tooling and whatnot is taking a little longer to get done then projected. Hopefully we’ll have it done before the end of June.
